The Skid prevention and control course is a half day course, were you can learn or 'brush-up' your skill in a controlled environment. The best way to learn is 'hands on', with an instructor that can explain how to recognise the external forces placed upon the car and counter those forces quickly and correctly.
These courses are held at Westpoint, Exeter.
The elements covered are:-
Front wheel skid
Uphill start on ice
Rear wheel skid
Aquaplaning
4 wheel skid
Brake and evade with / without ABS
Competition (against the clock)
